Chief Master Sergeant Allen L. Hooper, USAF, Retired, age 64, passed away the evening of March 26, 2011. He was born November 15, 1946, in Artesia, California. Allen graduated from high school in 1964 and joined the U.S. Air Force on August 12, 1965.
He trained as a Combat Controller and served tours at Travis AFB, California; Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; Dyess AFB, Texas; Clark Air Base, Philippines; Hurlburt Field, Florida; Scott AFB, Illinois and returned to Hurlburt Field where he served as the third Chief Enlisted Manager of the 720th Special Tactics Group from February 1990 until retiring in April 1992.
After retiring from the Air Force, Chief Hooper worked in the corporate world in various positions for several corporations including Vice President of Avior Technologies, Incorporated of Miami, Florida. In November 2003 he was hired as a Contractor for B3H Corporation to work as an Analyst at the 720th Special Tactics Group. He continued working for these corporations at the 720th as a Manpower Analyst until he rejoined the ranks of the Air Force when the task was converted to a civilian Air Force position in March 2010.
He is survived by his wife Rose, son Michael, daughter Melissa Sine and two twin grandsons Connor and Devon.
