Arthur George Hosey Jr. (Art), 74, native of Wilmington, Delaware and longtime resident of Daphne, AL, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 1, 2018.
Art was a member of Daphne United Methodist Church, taught school in Dallas County, retired from the Mobile District Corps of Engineers and was owner of Hosey Environmental, LLC. He graduated from Brandywine High School in Wilmington, DE, Wesley Junior College, Dover, DE, University of Montevallo, Montevallo, AL, and Auburn University, Auburn, AL. He served in the United States Air Force as a member of the Combat Control Team. Art served on Daphne’s Environmental Board, Daphne’s Planning and Zoning Board and Baldwin County’s Planning and Zoning Advisory Board.
Art is preceded in death by his parentsc Arthur G. (Jeanne) Hosey and Audrey (Chester) Lathrop.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Daves Hosey, Daphne, AL; daughter: Dawn (Dan) Ratliff, Orange Beach, AL; son: Trey (Kelly) Hosey, Cumming, GA. Grandchildren: Courtney Avera (Joshua) King, Spanish Fort, AL, McKinley and Harper Hosey, Cumming, GA. Great-Grandchildren: Rachel, Joshlynn, and Skyler King, Spanish Fort, AL. Sisters: Kathleen Guilfoyle, Apex, NC, Janet (Ron) Dick, Monroe, VA and Lois (Henry) Blau, Richmond,VA.
