Clyde Howard
Rank: SMSgt (R)
Entered Into Eternal Rest
2011-12-21
Retired SMSgt, Clyde Howard, 69, was found deceased unexpectedly in his home on December 21, 2011. He was born July 20, 1942, to Kernie Lee and Myrtle Collinsorth Howard of Leatha, KY, the eighth of sixteen children. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and five brothers. Clyde proudly served in the USAF for 21 years before retiring in May of 1982.
During his military service, he served four tours in South East Asia as a Special Operations Combat Controller. His many awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Master Parachutist wings, Thai Border Patrol Parachutist Wings, and induction into the Air Commando Hall of Fame. His life after the military revolved around his family, friends, CCT brothers, and his Harley Road King.
He is survived by his children Lora McAllister of Destin, FL; Gregory Howard, Anthony Howard, and Trina Ptak of Columbus, OH; Johnny Howard and Tommy Howard of Ft. Worth, TX; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his loyal pet parrot, Petrina.
His contribution to CCT was his life’s work and even after retirement till his last days kept his passion, love and loyalty to his CCT brothers heart felt.
As he was inducted into the Air Commando Hall of Fame, lived a full life, cherished his family, loved his CCT brothers, adored his pets, he was to me the best father a son could ever ask for and look up too. Can’t wait to see you again one day dad. Cheers!🍻
Love you,
Your proud son Tom-Tom [IMG_Jm2dhdq.jpg]... Collapse
