Dale R. Osborn deceased on March 2, 2013 of cancer.

Dale was born in Raton, NM to Clyde and Dorothy Osborn. He has two brothers, Larry and Kent. He is preceded in death by his father. Dale joined the Air Force in September 1965 and served until November 1972.

He graduated from Combat Control School in Class 70-1 while stationed at the Dover CCT with subsequent assignment on the Dyess Team. He saw combat in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. His duty as a CCT member was Illuminator Operator and he flew over 300 missions. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and 7 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Medal with 16 Oak Leaf Clusters.

He was married to Nancy Ellingsworth and has a son David Lee from that marriage. He was married to Catherine from 1983 until his death. Dale received his degree in Community Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico and worked for several Native American governments, regional governments and until his death, the Department of the Air Force at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM. He loved to play chess, talk about classic cars and play computer games to relax.

A Memorial service was conducted at the Holloman AFB Chapel on March 12 that was well attended. Church services were conducted at Our Lady Queen of Angels Liberal Catholic Church at 1701 Tulip Road SE; Rio Rancho, NM on March 23 rd.

Dale was a 32 nd degree Mason, a member of the Elks Lodge 2500 and VFW Post 10249 at Ubon, Thailand.

Dale was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on October 23, 2013. Court 9 / Section N86 / Column 61 / Niche 1
