SRA David R. Farmer, assigned to the 1722 CCS, was fatally injured while he was TDY to Moses Lake, WA. On R&R time, he collided with another airman from the 1722 CCS on jet skis. SRA Farmer received massive head injuries and died almost instantly. The other airman received multiple fractures to one arm. After a brief period in the hospital, he has returned to work and is back on status.

Remember Dave vividly - he was always such a "Daredevil". My memory of Dave was on a 25,000' HALO jump. We had to "Pre-breath" 100% oxygen for 30 mins prior to climbing to altitude for the jump - well, the C-141 decided to do "low-level" flying while we were pre breathing - for those who don't understand the prebreath process - if you "broke" the seal of the mask then the prebreath process starts over or the jump was canx.
