A memorial service celebrating the life of Gregory W. Zelinko of Silver City, N.M. will be held Sept. 19, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Ft. Bayard Cemetery, N.M.
Gregory Zelinko died Aug. 23, 2008, at the Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M.
Gregory Wayne Zelinko, son of Leonard and Marilyn Zelinko was born on Feb. 27, 1953, in Lakefield, Minn. Greg grew up in Lakefield and graduated from Lakefield High School. Upon graduation he entered the air force branch of the military service and served in a special units division in Viet Nam. Gregory worked and lived in Texas, Wyoming, Michigan and settled in New Mexico where he married Bonnie Larson (Johnson) on Jan. 23, 2004, in Silver City, N.M.
He was the auto technician for Life Quest, Inc.
Greg was talented in art and enjoyed woodcarving, designing and construction.
Gregory is survived by his wife Bonnie Zelinko, Silver City, N.M.; a daughter, Jill Perry and husband Moses, Roanoke, Va.; a son, Bret Larson, Switzerland; two grandchildren; two brothers, Val and wife Kathy Zelinko, Jackson, MN and Jeff and wife Shauna Zelinko, Lakefield, MN; two sisters, Rilyn and husband Dan Colluci, Owatonna, MN and Lisa and husband Wes Barkheim, Lakefield, MN; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents.
