Michael J. Brown, 70, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on February 23, 2023, at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Buffalo. Mike was born in Niagara Falls NY; he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary H. (Zadik) Brown.
Mike graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in 1970. In 1971, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Combat Control Team. Mike was very proud of his status as a Vietnam Veteran. Mike went on to work for the Information Technology Department with the Catholic Health System where he retired in 2015.
Mike survived by his children; Rosalind (Robert Whittaker) Brown, Jessica Brown, his granddaughter Grace Cohen, and his former wife Dana Brown. Mike also leaves behind his siblings, Beth Brown-Warrington, Karen Brown, and Kevin Brown, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike was predeceased by his brother, Mark Brown. Mike was an active member of the American Legion Post 1465 and a passionate supporter of the Second Amendment. Mike loved his family. They along with his friends at Foleys will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 2 – 4:30 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Funeral services, concluding with Military Honors will follow at 4:30 PM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital of Buffalo, 9 Alpha (Hospice Unit) 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 or at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/46646309/.
