Age 61, Heart Failure

April 22, 2008, Richard Brawley left this temporary life and entered into the reward of eternal life with his Lord, Jesus Christ.

He was born on June 2, 1946. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran of 25 years, Richard proudly protected and served his country that he loved. He served as San Bernardino County airport manager for the county's six High Desert airports for almost eight years.

Richard Brawley leaves behind his loving wife, "Dee," a stepson, Robert McDowell III; daughter-in-law Michelle; his siblings Mrs. (Jim) Sherry Ridgeway of Justonia, Alaska, Ms. Donna Jo Harris of Pauls Valley, Okla., Thom Brawley of Boulder, Colo., Emory and Deborah Brawley of Birmingham, Ala., Susan Cushman of Pensacola, Fla., and Lee and Janet Teasley of Elijay, Ga.; three nieces and three nephews. We will miss you!

I'm at Sergeant brawley early on. I believe he was sharing a house with David Pearson. We went to the local mall and photographed some Buddy Holly records. He was a hell of a nice guy. God bless him

The day Elvis Pressly died I was TDY to Moses Lake. Dick had just rotated back to McChord and called to ask me to go toa certain record shop in town and buy a bunch of Elvis' just released albums; they were special because they were a special color of vinyl and would become collector items. That was the first I knew he was a big time record collector. Rest well Dick.
