Richard L. Myers, 69, of Abilene, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at a local hospital. Services were held Monday, March 12, 2007 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 No. 2nd St.
Richard was born in Chambersburg, PA on January 13, 1938, the son of Richard M. and Anna B. (Leedy) Myers. He was a member of Mensa and a retired Viet Nam veteran, serving 20 years in the Air Force. He also retired from the City of Abilene as superintendent of the street department.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jonna Myers of Abilene; a son, John W. Myers and wife, Cheryl, of Gatesville, TX; a daughter, Christy L. Myers of Carrollton, TX; and grandchildren, Austin, Heather, Savannah and Wesley.
