Retired Chief Master Sergeant Stanley P. Williams passed away on 4 November 2021. He was born in Erwin North Carolina in 1933 and proudly served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars. His military career began in the United States Army, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg and Fort Campbell. In 1956 he transitioned to the United States Air Force at Sewart Air Force Base and became a member of Combat Control.

Throughout his Air Force career he served at Pope Air Force Base, Tachikawa Air Base in Japan, Charleston Air Force Base, Sembach Air Base in Germany, Ramstein Air Base in Germany, and returned to Pope Air Force Base where he retired in 1977.

Following his military service he continued his commitment to public service, retiring as a Captain from North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement after twenty years.

He is survived by his wife Irona, his children Debi Miriello and husband Tom, Stan Williams the Second and wife Beverly, and Rhonda Lockamy and husband Buddy, along with ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
