Entered Into Eternal Rest
2025-11-12

On behalf of the Flock family, I would like to share Dad/Steve Flock’s passing. Dad passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Dad was a sincere, honest, hardworking, and talented man with many remarkable accomplishments.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Combat Control “First In!” paratrooper and was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle.

His career and passions were diverse—he was an exceptional finish/trim carpenter, woodworker, a Highway Patrol Officer, Sheriff’s Deputy, Marshal, and served as Mayor of Twentynine Palms. Beyond his professional life, he was an off-road enthusiast, Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and rodeo cowboy (bull riding, team roping), a gifted metal and digital artist (“Digital Impressions”), and an aviation lover who began soaring in gliders and later piloted a Piper Cherokee 140. He shared these talents and passions generously with family and friends, enriching all of our lives.

Dad also cherished camaraderie and collaboration—especially when it came with a side of “$100 hamburgers” (a nod to the cost of aviation fuel for those trips).

He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched during his 83 years. Blue skies and tailwinds on your final check ride dad.
