Vadis Cleo Dorris, age 77 of Orlinda, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his home. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Cross Plains Cemetery with Dr. David Jicka officiating. Mr. Dorris was born May 18, 1932 in Robertson County to the late John A. and Martha Bertha Whitson Dorris.
He was a member of Orlinda Baptist Church after accepting Christ years ago. He was a retired machine operator from Outukumpu and was a veteran of the US Army and Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Louise Dorris of Orlinda; sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis Dorris of Springfield, Danny and Karen Dorris of Greenbrier, and Chad Dorris of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, April and Jeff Owens of Franklin, KY; sister, Marjorie Lowhorn of Franklin, KY; and grandchildren, Corinne Owens, Kaylee Dorris, Hunter Owens, and Corey Dorris.
